Why do we need the imDocShare proxy service to talk to iManage if we want imDocShare on-premises?

Both the iManage Could and On-prem universal API’s are blocked and do not have direct access to the API from JavaScript (Angular/React/any front end libraries from HTML using AJAX or similar) that is why customers need to first install the imDocShare Proxy service.
